Ducks on the pond

Jamie let the ducks out to the pond today for the first time. She opened up the run by their house and herded them down to the pond all together. They seem much more herd-able and docile than chickens (not to mention much less mobile on the land). On the way over, one even got stuck in a hole – it just sat there until Jamie lifted it out of the hole – even though the hole was really just a depression in the grass. The chickens would have all scattered, but the ducks all stayed together. The more impressive trick…she got them all to go back to their house this evening.
